1963 Pre-CBS Stratocaster Pickups: faithfully recreates the last year of Fenders full Formvar production stratocaster pickups before switching to Plain Enamel. The set is modeled after the original specs of 1963 to recreate the last of the Heavy Formvar warm and woody tones. Vintage staggered Alnico 5 magnets with 42ga Heavy Formvar magnet wire bring out the traditional stratocaster tone. Full, round, and very pronounced. Stratty. Lets not forget they are scatter wound. Wax potted to avoid unwanted microphonics. Output Neck 5.6k, Middle 5.7k, Bridge 5.8k.
