Chris Klein, founder of Klein Pickups, passed away unexpectedly on March 25th. Chris was known locally and internationally for his handmade, expertly crafted, vintage pickups.
His love of music, particularly vintage guitar sounds, led him to found Klein Pickups, focusing on re-creating authentic vintage pickups for the music industry. He was passionate about the quality, design, and durability of every product he sold and spent countless hours researching electric guitar pickups.
With this knowledge and his dedication, Chris grew Klein Pickups into the highly successful company it is today. Musicians worldwide, both amateur and professional, proudly use Klein Pickups in their guitars. Chris’s spirit will endure in all the lives he touched and the products he so proudly made.

Our process is to chemically analyze an original pickup magnets and wire, then we reproduce them with the exact same magnets and wire. We don't use stock magnets or wire. We don't degauss magnets and say they are vintage. Our magnets are only as strong as the elemental composition will hold. Our wire is specially manufactured for us, we have many batches of wire with all different types of resistances and O.D.'s. Our wire also is processed differently than modern conventional wire, these little details are what makes the Klein Pickups Reproductions the most accurate in the world.
